Disability is not inability- A remarkable story of Ramesh Bishnoi

     Born without both hands in a backward village of Phalodi district of Rajasthan, Ramesh Bishnoi never let his disability hold him back. Instead, he has adapted so well, performing everyday tasks with his feet. From his childhood, he was determined to live a life of self-sufficiency. He began teaching himself to navigate his daily routine with his feet only. Soon he has mastered the art of using his feet to write, take bath, cook, eat, dress, paint, swim and even to play cricket. 

      He achieved the unthinkable, earning his graduation degree through foot-written examinations. His feet always move with a precision holding pen and pencil to write essays, solve equations and continue to bring his academic dreams to life. He has also completed his B.ed and now busy in preparing for RAS( Rajasthan Administrative Service). 

     With his feet that move with purpose and precision, he masterfully pulls bucket after bucket of water from the Tankas( underground cisterns for storage of rainwater in western Rajasthan). He perfected the art of drawing water using his feet to lift and pour the water into earthen pitchers. It is a real testament to his adaptability and resilience. 

     He is a state level swimming player. He swims lap after lap and his feet move in perfect synchrony, propelling him forward with a speed and agility that belies his physical limitations. 

     He has also mastered the art of cooking using his feet to chop vegetables, hold utensils, stir pots and make exquisite dishes that delight the senses of his friends. His feet are strengthened by practice as well as necessity. 

     Defying physical limitations, Ramesh Bishnoi strides onto the cricket pitch and his feet weaving magic with the ball. He grasps the bat with his feet and unleashes a powerful strokes. He is really redefining the boundaries of possibilities. 

     His talents don't stop on the cricket field. He is also good at drawing and painting, using his feet to hold brushes. His passion for painting is evident in his every stroke and every colour. He has already created some beautiful works of arts. 

      With his grit and perseverance, he has transcended boundaries and accumulated a massive online following of 807K followers on his FB page, 539K on his Instagram and 20K subscribers on his U tube. His followers draw inspiration from his courage to tackling everyday challenges. With this massive following and engaging content, he is earning a monthly income of rupees one Lakh. This is an example of successfully monetisation of his presence on Social Media.

        Dear friends my purpose to pen about Ramesh Bishnoi is that now a days we witness negativity among youth even with availability of all comforts with them. Like many other achievers, he is a beacon of hope for all those who face challenges on their own paths to success. We must remember one thing that that all kinds of  limitations can be overcome with sheer will power. True strength lies not in our physical abilities, but in our determination and will power.
